Quickie weekend in St. Louie, and I was reminded just how hard it must be for dad to be dad...hating with so much hate...not that I ever really forget, just gets foggy through the 300 miles. It's nice to have "opportunites" like birthdays, to clear out the fog.

5. Acknowledging cake eaters, drinkers or singers are even in the room

10. Family stopping by (not exclusive to birthdays)

12. Drinking lemonade while eating cake
13. Drinking alcohol while eating cake
