Westside Stories: Lighting options

Trying to sort through the gagillion options for lighting and I am stuck. There are 3 different looks I am torn between. All can be really cool, but will sort of lock me into a certain style. Maybe I need to build 3 houses so I don't have to decide.

Things my dad hates: birthday edition

Quickie weekend in St. Louie, and I was reminded just how hard it must be for dad to be dad...hating with so much hate...not that I ever really forget, just gets foggy through the 300 miles. It's nice to have "opportunites" like birthdays, to clear out the fog.

In no particular order:

1. Cake

2. Singing

3. Singing in preparation for eating cake

4. People who eat cake
5. Acknowledging cake eaters, drinkers or singers are even in the room

6. Canadians who eat cake (see earlier posts about Canadian hates)

7. Presents

8. Having to open presents

9. Having to look at the open presents for more than 2 nano-seconds

10. Family stopping by (not exclusive to birthdays)

11. Onions (Still a hate worthy of re-mentioning)

12. Drinking lemonade while eating cake

13. Drinking alcohol while eating cake
14. Smelling the cake

15. Liberals
